We believe God has called us to partner with several organizations able to minister to people and places that it may present challenges for a church to access (e.g. GVSU students, feeding children at schools, etc.). These ministries allow Wellspring members to serve in particular areas of passion or interest and utilize their gifts accordingly in evangelism and outreach.
We have partnered with the following ministries because God has clearly and repeatedly highlighted GVSU as a place for Wellspring to both lovingly serve and effectively evangelize for Christ’s glory. They are Bible-based and gospel-centered
Ministries
REACH
Reach collaborates with the Church and local ministries to bring the good news of Christ to the lost. Students will experience community in student-led Life Groups, where they are discipled and challenged to multiply. Some students will be raised up to lead in this ministry, others will be raised up to lead in the local church, and others still will be raised up to reach the nations as missionaries.
Hand2Hand
Hand2Hand delivers nutritious food to students over the weekends and on extended school breaks by mobilizing churches, schools, individuals, and businesses to join together, providing hope and opportunity to thrive
WINNING AT HOME
Making marriages and families stronger through counseling, coaching, community events, speaking and media resources.
Second Story Counseling
More than just a listening ear, we are here to help you discover a new perspective, identify the source of the challenges you’re facing, and equip you with the resources you need to overcome. Beyond developing a healthier mind, we’ll assess your overall wellbeing, including physical and emotional wellness. Together, we can work towards a healthier, happier you.
DESIGNED 2 THRIVE
Designed 2 Thrive began as a small church ministry with a big vision: for every married couple to understand God's plan for them to experience an abundant marriage, rather than just surviving the day-to-day struggles that can easily deteriorate a marriage if left unchecked.
GRIEF SHARE
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
ANGEL TREE TOY DRIVE (SALVATION ARMY)
Thanks to supporters of The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, thousands of American children will find this waiting under their Christmas trees this year. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides new clothing or toys for children of needy families through the support of donors.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (SAMARITAN’S PURSE)
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
