Spotting and Resisting the Spirit of Antichrist

This past Sunday, we looked at the rise and fall of the AntiChrist as seen in Daniel's dream in Daniel 7. This narrative emphasizes our need as Christians to trust in Jesus Christ alone. The coming Antichrist will use flattery, manipulation, and even wealth to lure people into worshiping him, but the people of God are called to resist.

While we don’t know the exact date or time, we can already see it today, can’t we? Glimpses of this spirit of the Antichrist reveal themselves through the idolization of self and the exaltation of human figures in society—whether in politics, sports, influencers, entertainment, and even within churches.

However, as believers, we must not be swayed by flattery or false promises. Christ’s teachings oppose the idolization of everything the Antichrist offers. Daniel 11:32 reminds us, “The people who know their God will firmly resist him.”

Do you know God? Do you recognize His words? Are you equipped to resist lies?

The message is clear: Trust in Jesus, who has kept every promise, not the false promises of worldly leaders. As society grows increasingly self-focused, it’s easy to fall prey to the trap of idolizing power, influence, or self. Jesus is the only Savior, and only by holding fast to Him can we stand firm in the face of the world’s and the Antichrist’s deception.
